19th Century French Floral Fabric
A beautiful original printed cotton textile sample fabric from France produced in the late 1800's.
Stunning florals in shades of blue, orange, burgundy, brown, yellow and green set on a dark beige background.
Measures approx 81cm (32") x 49cm (19").
In good condition with no blemishes but there are a couple of tiny holes at one edge where the fabric was removed from the sample book. Both selvedges are intact.
This fabric was bought at auction in Paris and came from the famous Scheurer company who were one of Europe's great textile printers based in Mulhouse in Alsace, France.
This sample is museum quality and will appeal to collectors, designers and hobbyists who are interested in genuine antique textiles.
